Friends of World IBS Day

Dear Friends,

I am writing to you today during this unprecedented COVID-19 epidemic which has taken over our health systems, our thoughts and conversations with many uncertainties, stressing our social and professional lives, our health and finances, and shaking our emotional wellbeing to the core.

In 2019, the IBS Patient Support Group, announced the new World IBS Day (worldibsday.org) initiative to designate April 19th as World IBS Day to raise awareness for Irritable Bowel Syndrome Patients and to unite the world to raise awareness about IBS under one banner. We continue this mission; however, we have come to the difficult decision that World IBS Day will not take place this year.

We recognize the urgency of COVID-19 and believe that raising awareness about Irritable Bowel Syndrome is not in the best interest at this time. We will thus not be supporting any event or activities which might distract patients, Health Care Professionals or Industry from the very important task at hand.

In 2019, World IBS Day was supported internationally by organizations and individuals from all over the world. We invite you to display your logo on our Friends of World IBS Day page which we will keep active until World IBS Day on April 19, 2021. Please send your logos to [email protected].

Be safe. Thank you.
